Dustin Nelson Takes Round Three of the Yamaha/ITP Quadcross Series!
Long time Motoworld rider and now Factory Yamaha rider Dustin Nelson took round three of the Yamaha/ITP quadcross series last weekend in Buckey, AZ. Dustin started the weekend off with a win in his heat race which gave him high hopes when he took to the line for the main event. When the gate dropped in the main event Nelson’s race started sideways as he got cross rutted out of the gate which put him into 9th place rounding the first turn. With his work cut out for him, Dustin put his head down and rode the race of his life as he picked off rider after rider and found himself in fourth place with two laps to go. As sparks flew between the top three riders Dustin was able to pick them off one by one and bring his MotoworldRacing.com backed quad across the checkers first and taking his first win of the 2007 season.
Team MotoworldRacing.com Lets it Ride in Vegas!
The 2007 NMA World Mini Grand Prix in Las Vegas was a huge success for Team Motoworld’s amateur team. The week started great with both Kyle Engle and Josh Huerta taking wind in qualifiers setting them in to Sunday’s mains. Josh Huerta had a little bad lack with some crashes and bad starts that relegated him to two top tens with an 8th and a 9th in the ultra competitive “b” class.
The highlight of the entire week was Kyle Engle who took the 85cc stock 14-16 class championship. Kyle has been knocking on the door the last couple of months in search for that elusive championship. Well, Vegas was Kyle’s time to shine a he ran up front all week and capped it with a Team Motoworlds’ FIRST amateur championship! Congratulations Kyle you deserve it!
Team MotoworldRacing.com would like to thank all of our riders that took part in the 2007 World Mini Grand Prix! Thank you !
